CHRIS JONES RISK MANAGEMENT Safety CoachingOccupational Health and Safety has become an area of concern for all Australian organisations. What managers want, and need, is sound advice on how to make their enterprise safe. They need that advice to be on tap, and they need it to be focused on their business. Safety Coaching provides regular mentoring on Occupational Health and Safety issues directly to your managers. We work through a set of exercises tailored to identify your goals and then meet them. We agree on how we are to measure the effectiveness of the process, and provide regular reports on the achievement of your goals. Whether it is a workers compensation stress claim that has gotten out of hand, a serious accident, a harassment claim that has been mishandled, or a lack of employee compliance with safety procedures, management needs someone independent to discuss the options available. We can provide the kind of independent feed back, in confidence, that will allow your managers to make sound decisions. Is your OHS programme highly sophisticated, or a blank sheet? We work with you to help you determine your objectives, and the pace of change that suits your organisation. Want to start a safety committee; meet minimum legal requirements; or conform to Australian and International standards? We will help you plan how to achieve these goals. How does it work?Managers are provided with a regular, coaching session on an agreed schedule. Coaching can be provided to any or all managers in your organisation, from the CEO to the shift managers. Each session lasts at least an hour. The frequency of the sessions
will be agreed at the outset, and kept under review. Sessions would
normally be scheduled monthly, however they can be held more frequently as the
need arises. More frequent meetings are advisable if implementing an OHS
programme. The specific exercises conducted and the matters discussed depend upon the agreed objectives. These are not just discussions, however, and the participant is provided with an agreed action plan at the end of each session. FeesWe work on an agreed hourly fee schedule, and you will be provided with a formal proposal. For major projects and training courses we can quote a set fee.
